State-specific requirements
AMA Ed Hub has details on how state-specific requirements apply to CME on ethics and professionalism.
Here is a rundown:
- Florida—DOs, one hour of CME on “professional and medical ethics education.”
- Michigan—MDs at least one hour of CME “in the area of medical ethics.”
- Nevada—MDs, two hours per licensure cycle “pertaining to ethics, pain management or addiction care”; DOs, in even-numbered years only, two hours of CME in those areas.
- Texas—Two hours “on medical ethics and/or professional responsibility.”
